Night Rating
The night rating allows pilots to fly at night in any aircraft they hold a class/type rating for. This is rating is offered from October to March in the time period when daylight davings are not observed.
Course Structure

Hours of flight training including 3 hours of dual flight instruction
27 NM
Cross country flight of 27NM or more must be conducted

Solo take offs and full stop landings must be carried out.

To apply for the rating the pilot must hold a PPL (A) license but not to start the course. This training can be carried out as an addition to the PPL (A) course.

There is no test carried out at the end of the night rating.​​
​
The night rating can be added onto an NPPL, LAPL, SPL or PPL
